The Central University of Technology (CUT) online applications for the 2025 academic year, are now available for individuals interested in pursuing new undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications. The Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) is a public technology university with campuses in Bloemfontein and Welkom, Free State province, South Africa. The Central University of Technology, Free State comprises of two campuses – one in Bloemfontein, the judicial capital of South Africa, and one in Welkom.

CUT Online Application Closing Dates

The application window/cycle for the Central University of Technology has opened on 13th of May and the university has stated that this window will remain open up until the 30th of November. Prospective Students who would want to be a part of CUT by 2025 should apply now as no late application will be accepted once the application window has been closed.

Documents Required to Apply to CUT

You may be perplexed as to which documents you will be needing to apply to CUT for the 2025 academic year, you need not to worry. Here is a complete list of the documents that you need to get ready before applying:

  1. Current matriculants: upload final Grade 11 results or Grade 12 June results if available.
  2. Already matriculated applicants: you must upload your certified ID and National Senior Certificate.
  3. Higher qualifications than matric: you must upload your certified ID, National Senior Certificate, your qualification(s) and study record.

How to Apply to Cut

Online application to The Central University of Technology (CUT) is totally free so No application fee and No authorised consultants to assist with the application is required.

Follow the simple steps below to complete and submit your online application:

  1. To begin your applications, visit the CUT application portal
  2. Click on ‘New Applications’ in the Prospective Student box
  3. When you see the question ‘Do you already have a student number?’, select NO
  4. Complete your application and click ‘Submit’
  5. You will be given a student number as soon as your online application is submitted. This is the number that CUT will use to identify you for any inquiry. Please keep it safe
