Durban University of Technology (DUT) online applications for the 2025 academic year, are now available for individuals interested in pursuing new undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications. The application window for DUT runs from the 1st of March to the 30th of September 2024. All applicants, regardless of nationality or language, are encouraged to apply. DUT Online Application Closing Dates
Online applications for DUT has been open as of 1st of march and most fields of study may get filled up even before the deadlines. So it is recommended to apply early so as to get your desired field of study. And always check the specific deadlines for your desired study programme on the CAO prospectus.
DUT Required Documents
- certified copy of your identity document
- Certified copy of your Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate or equivalent
- Certified Grade 11 report (if you are currently in grade 12)
- Your grade 12 June report (if you are currently in grade 12)
DUT Online Application Process
All applications for first-year admission are processed through the Central Applications Office (CAO). This is a streamline of application that allows the application process for multiple programs and institutions by utilizing a single application form and also paying a single application fee. Follow the simple steps below to complete your application:
Step 1: Visit the CAO website: www.cao.ac.za
Step 2: Click on the “apply” tab
Step 3: Read the information and click on the “continue with application” tab
Step 4: Enter your ID number or your Cao number. then click on submit
Step 5: Click on the “continue with application” tab
Step 6: Enter All the information requested. Once you have entered all the information requested, click ‘Next‘
Step 7: A pop-up will appear with your CAO Number, Password and EasyPay Number.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU HAVE NOT YET COMPLETED YOUR APPLICATION
Step 8: Click ‘Continue with Online Application‘
Step 9: Capture your next of kin details
Step 10: Enter your grade 11 results or your grade 12 results
Step 11: Choose the courses you want to apply for (you can choose up to 6 choices)
Step 12: Check the information provided in the Summary of your application
Step 13: Click the ‘Process My Application’ button at the end of the page
YOUR APPLICATION HAS NOW BEEN SUBMITTED
A message will be displayed on screen informing you that your submission has been successful
Step 14: You can now upload your supporting documents and pay your application fee online OR pay at an EasyPay Outlet
The administration payable fee for South Africa and international students are R250 and R300 respectively.
