MUT Online Application Closing Dates
MUT has made it to the notice of the its prospective students the closing dates of its online application. So it is adviced you applying while the application window is still open so as to not accumulate a late application fee determined by the CAO.

Required Documents for MUT Online Application 2025
Every new applications to MUT for the 2025 academic year must be accompanied by the following documents below:
- Certified copy of latest school report/statement of results/Grade 12 or N3 certificate.
- Six certified copies of the ID of the Learner.
- Two certified copies of the ID of the Parent/Guardian.
- One ID-size photo of Learner.
MUT Online Application Requirements
It is important to have in mind that each faculty at Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) has its own entry requirements and this will be based on a point total, according to the candidate’s top five subjects. Some departments also set up an entrance examination due to limited available spots, so not all candidates who reach the minimum requirement will be accepted.
For entry into the NVC at NQF Level 2, you require:
- A year-end report for Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 or an
- An NQF Level 1 qualification, or
- An approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose of accessing NQF Level 2, or
- A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2.
How to Apply to MUT 2025
All first year applications are submitted through the Central Applications Office (CAO). This is a simplified way of applying for more than one programme, using one application form, and paying a single application fee. Use your unique CAO number as a reference when paying the application fee. The management of Mangosuthu University of Technology has advised prospective students to choose MUT as a first choice (note that this does not guarantee you an automatic spot for admission).
